The leaves are turning, the air is crisp and the scarves and boots are back – which means one thing: it’s the season for new TV shows! Here are a few shows shaping up to be the best of the season.
Good Girls Revolt (Amazon Prime – streaming)
It’s the 1960’s, and women in the newspaper industry aren’t allowed to do much else besides take notes – so they do what any good feminist would do and stage a revolution.
Westworld (Sundays, 9 PM, HBO)
Westworld is about a massive Wild-West theme park, with robot “hosts” designed to give every visitor exactly what they want: power. But the “hosts” in the park start acting up, and things start getting interesting.
The Good Place (Mondays, 10 PM, NBC)
Eleanor Shellstrop is struck by a truck, and ends up in “The Good Place” – but there’s one problem – they have the wrong Eleanor Shellstrop.
Pitch (Thursdays, 9 PM, FOX)
Pitch is about the first female pitcher in Major League Baseball, who is determined to succeed and jump over every barrier put in her way.
This is Us (Tuesdays, 10 PM, NBC)
“This is Us” tracks four seemingly random people on the day they all turn 36 years old.
