There are so many news outlets, so many articles to read and so much content out there that it can be tough to keep track of it all. How do you stay up-to-date on everything that’s happening? Here are three apps – all free and available on iPhone and Android – to  help keep it all straight. Being informed about what’s going on in the world is way more fun than another game of Candy Crush.

Pocket

Pocket is not only an app, but a browser plugin as well – and it works with your Twitter app. So you can automatically file away that article you didn’t have time to read at work, and save it in a tweet for later.

NPR News

In NPR’s News app, you can scroll through the homepage or click on particular shows to add different segments or funny bits to your playlist. Just pop your earbuds in while you’re at the grocery store, the gym or on lunch break!

Buzzfeed News

Buzzfeed isn’t just quizzes and pictures of puppies,  it also has a hefty news app. The app will send you updates when breaking news stories occur – with relevant emojis!
